The 9'2" Compact is our dedicated waveboard – with satisfying freeride potential. Shaped for SUPsurfers wanting a true waverider, the responsive rounded diamond tail delivers progressive performance in proper surf.
At 29" wide and packing 162L of volume, its longboard-inspired planshape helps generate speed and glide onto a wave – which works well on flat-water too, producing a lively all-rounder, particularly for smaller riders and kids. Stable underfoot, an uncluttered deck and full-length deckpad even suits cross-stepping and nose-riding, while the ‘living hinge’ folds lengthways before rolling to halve its packed size.
Constructed in ultra-light, highly durable MSL®1000 material, our Quad Stringer System combined with RSS battens delivers incredible stiffness at just 3.9" thick. The twin Click Fins are quick and easy to attach, and FCS-compatible so you can fit your own. Beautifully balanced, the 9'2" Compact offers control, stability, glide and maneuverability – a versatile surf performer for catching waves, anywhere.

MSL®1000 is the pinnacle in dropstitch technology, at 1KG lighter per square meter than MSL, it utilizes next generation weave technology and a super-fine fiber matrix to create a highly malleable, featherlight product.

Monocoque Structural Laminate or MSL® is the world’s leading drop-stitch material. Exclusive to Red Paddle Co boards, it’s made to our exact specifications.
Monocoque: meaning the coating is integral to the structure. MSL® drop-stitch technology integrates a highly durable, reinforced coating to the ultra-high-definition weave to form an inseparable base layer.
Structural: the high-tensile drop-stitch fibers are designed to withstand pressures in excess of 22psi, meaning Red boards can be inflated to provide unrivalled stiffness and confidence, no matter the rider weight or prevailing conditions.
Laminate: the reinforced composite coating is bonded to the textile core using machine welding that applies heat and pressure to the inner PVC layer, saving over 2kg of adhesives and reducing cosmetic and safety concerns. Produced under low tension, this process creates a torsional stiffening effect when the boards are inflated, making MSL® stiffer at lower pressures.
